| That's my question. I like peanut butter sandwiches on white or wheat bread. I like sourdough bread for other types of sandwiches, like with meat. I want to try a sourdough peanut butter sandwich but something about it seems weird. Like, the tangy bread and sweet peanut butter won't go together well. Yes, I know, just try it. But I value your opinion. |
| Some people like them! I think it's gross but when I tried it when I was out of regular bread, one of the people I was with thought it was great. Just make half a sandwich if you're worried about waste. |
| It s not a combination that sounds appealing to me...but just try it to satisfy your curiosity. |
| I do! But I make it on homemade sourdough, which doesn’t have additives to make it extra tangy. |
| I like it but I use natural peanut butter that isn't very sweet. |
On the other hand, I'd use a bit more sweetener to balance the slightly sour bread. I prefer honey but you could use the traditional jelly. As you see, tastes differ, so just try it. |

Thank you for your insights. You're so wonderful to take your time to help me. Have a nice weekend!

| Yeah, try it and see. I think I’d like it better with another ingredient in the mix — so, maybe peanut butter and bacon, a combo that I haven’t had in decades. Also, my peanut butter isn’t sweet: just peanuts and salt. So could be worth trying with a few different types of peanut butter if you really want to give this combination a chance to beguile you. |
| I would toast it. |
| I will eat anything on sourdough |
| This "I value your opinion" stuff makes no sense when it comes to what you like to eat. Put some peanut butter on some sourdough and taste it. |
|
I would do it in a pinch. I.e. really want a peanut butter sandwich but only have sourdough. I wouldn't seek it out.
Grilled cheese on sourdough on the other hand ... fantastic. |
| You know what's good on sour dough? Cream cheese and pepper jelly. |
| Yes. Toast the bread. |
You can make a sandwich on whatever bread you want. |
