you think out of area people are doing this? |
| Why 8th period on a Friday? Parents and buses can not go to the school. Kids are at Frost or in the neighborhoods. This is crazy. |
| The reality is with VoIP and email, these bomb threats are so easy to do that kids will do them because they can or get out of class/school. It's annoying and stupid and you'd think we'd come up with a way to detect these crank calls the same way we identify spam calls. |
But it was the last 30min of school. So it really only disrupts dismissal, after school activities and the entire bus system that has to go to middle schools and elementary schools afterwards. |
| Dismissal is going to be a mess |
Maybe it's a student-athlete who wants to disrupt a game? Dunno. Does seem odd to wait till EOD tho, I agree. |
It’s been 30min since end of school and 70min since they’ve been outside and no update except don’t come. At least it’s not that cold outside. |
| Just got the all clear. Students who ride the bus are being held until 4 so it seems they skipped the HS route so as not to delay MS and ES. |
| My kid just walked in the door. Crazy day |
I keep telling my kids to take a jacket even if they are only outside for 5 min waiting for the bus because you never know if there is an emergency and you have to wait outside. |
| Wait…. So the school had an evacuation and LOST CHILDREN in the surrounding neighborhoods? Who is getting fired over this? |
High school students probably walked home or to friends houses. |
This happened at Einstein a few months ago. After awhile, kids got tired of standing in a field, no bathrooms, etc. so they left. |
Do you think the kids were blown to smithereens by the nonexistent bus? News flash: After school is over, kids go home. |
Schools aren't prisons, surrounded by razor wire fences to keep kids in. |
