We’re entering K. I am looking for a school that would check these boxes (private, public or charter).
Public/Charter Private: $10-15k Location: - within PG (Greenbelt, Bowie, Lanham, Upper Marlboro - within AA (Crofton, Gambrills, Odenton) Classsize: 15-20 Rigorous academics, exposure to STEAM |

Any of the Catholic school would fit that bill, but the class sizes may be on the larger end. I have friends whose kids loved School of the Incarnation.

All PGCPS schools follow the same curriculum so you shouldn't see much difference between schools, especially in K.
My older kids went to our our neighborhood school (K-5) followed by Kenmoor TAG program for Middle School. The TAG program is very rigorous but they didn't have a hard time keeping up. TAG starts in 2nd grade. We currently have a child in an elementary TAG program and it is more rigorous than the comprehensive school and there is a lot of access to STEAM in both the elementary and middle school programs. I would say move to an area that is zoned for Capitol Heights or Glenarden Woods TAG programs and Kenmoor Middle School or Glenarden Woods/Heather Hills and Tasker Middle school. (I think that Kenmoor has a slightly better music program compared to Tasker). I have heard from many other parents that the academics in the TAG programs is higher than most catholic schools in the area. |
| Two Rivers Elementary School in Odenton is opening this fall, and it should be a fantastic school. If you have a budget of at least $900k, then it's a perfect fit. |

Holy Trinity Episcopal
Riverdale Baptist St Pius are what come to mind off the top based on location and cost. But I don't have experience with them to know anything more. |
