Recommend restaurant good for teen-only dinner

Anonymous
DD wants to go out to dinner for her birthday with a few girlfriends. Mom and Dad pick up the tab but not present. Half a dozen 14yr olds. Well behaved and well mannered.

Any recommendations in Arlington for a restaurant that might be good? Something nicer than a basic pizza place so that it feels grown-up but not something that's actually super nice. Rustico in Ballston came to mind.

Maybe Ted's in Ballston?

I agree with Rustico or Teds. Also, Liberty Tavern, Tupelo Honey, Bar Taco, PF Changs, Mexicali Blues.

Not a great choice unless you know ALL the kids will eat steak with brown sauce and fries. Literally no other menu options.

Carlyle in Shirlington would take good care of them. I know you said no pizza, but Stellina (on same block) and Guapo's are both lively and fun.

We did several dinners like this at the Melting Pot. It works on many levels because it's interactive and fun, picky kids can usually find something they'll eat, and because of the pricing structure it's easy to give kids parameters on spending.

DD did this at Ruthie's All Day. We sat at the bar, and DD and friends sat at a table in the main dining room.

Don’t limit kids on what they can order especially for a one time only birthday dinner.
