| Want to take my kids for beginner lessons this weekend at Whitetail. Do i need to worry about there being no snow in the bunny trail areas or am I good no matter what? Never been before. Thanks! |

Beginner Lesson #1: Skiing requires snow
Beginner Lesson #2: If there’s no snow, there’s no skiing. If there’s very little snow, there is very little skiing. |
| Haha that was hysterical. Do I need to worry about there being no snow for skiing. Well short answer is yes. Long answer is snow of some sort whether natural or machine made is required for skiing. |
| Go out to Canaan Valley (WV) they have Snow. I think Seven Springs does too. But, they are a bit farther away (and you may not be able to get lesson at this point). |
| I think Massanutten has snow, too. |
| Same here. I keep looking at the mountain cams and there is so little coverage of sno |
| Bryce has snow based on their cam |

If they are offering lessons, then there is snow.
Looking at the status, one of the two ski carpets in the easy area is open today. https://www.skiwhitetail.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/lift-and-terrain-status.aspx |
| Lessons sell out pretty quickly. It may be too late for this weekend. |

I would not go this weekend. They have very poor coverage and if the kids want to progress past the bunny slope there is no option as sidewinder isn't open yet.
If you really want to go head to WVa as others have mentioned. |
| I wouldn’t worry about it |
