| interested to see if anyone prohibits or makes students keep in locker |
| I just texted my kid to ask and he replied immediately, so there's that. |

Our K-8 makes them keep it in locker for the school day.
If they’re caught with the phone the phone goes to the office and a parent has to come get it. My 6th grader doesn’t take hers to school. |
| No cell phone usage permitted during school hours at Burgundy Farm, including middle school. Kids must keep cell phones turned off and put away in backpacks or lockers. I approve! |
| No phones allowed at all (during school and onsite afterwards) and if you are found using it, you go to the Head of School. |
| Our daughter at SR is required to keep her phone in her locker all day, it is strictly enforced. |
Maybe we're at the same, but this is the policy at our Arlington catholic k-8. My kids know if their phones end up in the office, I'm going to take my sweet time retrieving it. |
| At our kids school, there's policy, and then there's what actually happens. |
| At our Catholic K-8, all cellphones brought to school have to be checked in and kept in the school’s office and retrieved at the end of school. It’s strictly enforced. |
| Bumping this to see if we can get some additional responses. Our school does not seem to have a clear policy, or at least not one that’s clear to me and several other parents, and the phones are becoming more and more of an issue in the building. We are hitting a point where we could possibly transition elsewhere on an entry year, and stricter rules on this issue would be an important consideration for us. |
Could you name the school? This sounds great. |
Not that PP but this is Holy Spirit's policy. |
| At our school phones and watches are not supposed to be used and are supposed to be in backpacks/lockers. I get the sense the rule is mostly followed but I still hear from my kid that other kids take them out during breaks with what appears to be no consequences. Its still an improvement from last year where there seemed to be no real rules. |
| Burke- phones are checked in a box at the beginning of the day. |
So during class breaks, or when they go to their lockers, are they allowed to check phone/use it? We have a SR babysitter who always texts me back during the day when I ask if she's available. But she's in high school. |
