Introspection for fun: What would your partner/spouse say is the most annoying thing about you?

Anonymous
Taking a break from blaming my spouse for each issue in our marriage and thinking about what I do that's annoying or that they'll take issue with

1. When I go into the office, I'll occasionally not give a heads-up when I'll be late coming home.

2. I put my clean clothes away every 2-3 days. They'll sit on a chair in my bedroom until then.

3. Words of affirmation are my love language. I'll start moping if I've gone a few days with getting a compliment.

4. I've moved away from religion (Christianity) over the past decade. It was a foundational part of me for a while. Now, it's hard for me to justify. My spouse would church to be more of a family thing

I leave dishes all over the house and my shoes out for him to trip on.

My messiness.

i'll play.

I'm a control freak, but i am trying to manage that.
I micromanage, i am working on it with small success.
I am trying to do gentle parenting thing (to some limit) and my husband thinks it makes our kids disrespectful since we were not brought up this way. He GETS ANNOYED, sometimes angry.

My son tells DH to put the forks in the middle of the big spoons and the little spoons instead of putting the spoons next to each other, and instead of backing up my husband I take my son’s side.

But you can’t just up and change how you organize the silverware! Putting the dishes away is typically my son’s job so that’s how he started doing it and what’s done is done. We just have to go with it now.

I bet it does, despite downplaying it with your modest attire, natural hair color and propensity for quiet evenings with your 19th century English novels.

Laziness and messiness. He's messy too, in different ways. My version annoys tf out of him, and his version annoys tf out of me. But we're realistic about it and see the other's pov.

Probably “nagging” him and “never taking a break” from doing chores/asking him to do chores.
