Restaurant suggestion near Bethesda metro

Anonymous
I live in Springfield, so don't go to Bethesda much. However, a friend of mine from out of town will be there for a conference, and suggested we meet up. We're looking for someplace mid-range, not super fancy or super casual.

True Food is one of my favorites for meeting my girlfriends.

Tatte is pretty casual but probably not super casual.

There’s also a decent ramen place (zao stamina ramen) and a nepalese/indian place (shangri la)

Blacks? Is planta too upscale?

Spanish Diner (Jose Andres)
SaltLine

They're a block from each other, and both less than 5 minutes' walk from the metro.

Planta and True Food are chains, so you may prefer local options.

I like True Food, too. Freshly prepared, healthy options, good cocktails.
