Are there regular meet ups for pick up soccer in the winter or spring in the DC area beyond playing on a team?

I see pick up for adult but not for youth.

This topic comes up every now and then and there does not seem to be any dedicated space for kids to play pick up over the winter or summer. So what you need to do is help create it. Have your kid reach out to a few teammates/friends and have them reach out to a few teammates friends to cast a wide net and just have them show up at some field at a certain time. As long as you get 6-8 players, that's enough for a 3v3 or 4v4 game. Hopefully, you get more kids and it grows from week to week.

Way too many kids playing on all levels in this area and way too many fields for there not to be regular pickup games in off-season especially.
With social media and electronic communication in everyone's pockets, it's even easier than before to get together with friends and strangers.

Agreed, but it rarely happens.

William Ramsey Rec Center in Alexandria has people playing pick up. Most of the people are playing on the futsal court which you can see from Beauregard.
