Does your invoice include dates of service? We are new at Karasik and my dependent care FSA processor rejected my January claim because the invoice doesn’t include dates of service. Thank you! |
I’ve never actually checked! I fill out my FSA form and add the dates of service and totals myself (FSAFeds). I then send the form to the Karasik accounting office and they return the signed form to me. I’ve never had a claim denied doing this. |
Interesting! I just fill out a FSA form online with dates of service, the EIN, and upload the invoice on my FSA processor’s website. Looking at my invoice, it’s actually so strange. It doesn’t say what I’ve paid for (no description at all), no dates of service, nothing. Just shows I paid the Arc some money. Honestly I can see why my FSA processor denied the claim. This could be for anything. Our prior daycare’s invoices were always clear that it was tuition paid for such and such a month, had my kids’ names on it, etc. Hopefully Karasik can give me something that shows I paid childcare tuition for January. |
We’ve had the same issue. Our fsa has a pain-in-the-butt work around form I have had some success with. They won’t sign it on site so I have to send it to the arc financial office. Not sure why it’s so hard to print the dates of service on the receipt… |
As long as Karasik accounting signs your form you should be good. I don’t attach any copies of the invoice to the FSA claim form that I upload. |
The processor my employer uses requires a copy of the invoice from the care provider that includes the service dates. My form is electronic (not possible for Karasik to sign). I’m required to enter in how much I am submitting for, the dates of service, the organization’s EIN, and a copy of the invoice from the provider. The service dates on the invoice have to match the service dates that I put on the electronic form. Your process sounds easier! |
I have FSAFEDS and just submit my invoice from Karasik and then the email that says your payment has been received and never had any issues or needed anything signed. |
