| How many slices of bacon go on a BLT? |
|
You measure that with your heart.
(I mean, is there a wrong answer when it comes to bacon?) |
| 52 |
| 3 |
| How many are in a package of bacon? That many. |
+1 But I won’t complain if I end up with 4. 2 is too skimpy. |
| Are you breaking them in half? Are you placing some perpendicular or all side-by-side? Are they crispy or “flaccid”? |
| 2 or 3 slices, crispy and broken in half. |
| Are these full slices, or half slices? 5 half slices— 4 across in one layer and one extra because. |
| My DH has six half slices and I have four. |
| OP - I’m asking how many full slices regardless of whether you break them in half. Asking because I’m going to make this for a casual lunch for family houseguests and not sure of quantities. |
| Enough to cover the surface of the sandwich twice, one layer going vertically and the other horizontally |
I think this is correct though sometimes DH and I will be able to stretch 5 leftover slices of bacon to two BLTs if you are careful with proportions (don't overload with lettuce and tomato) and supplement with some tots. |
| I do 3 |

Years ago , at a restaurant in Michigan, I had a BLT tha was described in the as ONE POUND OF BACON, lettuce and tomato on your choice of bread.
