Is it cold enough to leave refrigerated (not frozen) grocers in my van trunk for 2 hours?

I will do this in the 40s with veggies and shredded cheese and stuff like that but I would not do it with frozen things or meat or milk.

I would. Pack all the cold stuff together in one bag, with anything particularly sensitive in the middle, and wrap a second bag around it.

Absolutely, as long as it is not any meat or dairy, on a cold (think need to clean the windshield) day. I have cooked food for parties and kept them in the trunk overnight in the winter due to lack of space in the refrigerator and nothing happened to it. It tasted just fine 18 hours later.

On a hot day, probably not.

You won’t get food poisoning, but your food might spoil faster. Just keep an eye on it.

The average fridge is set at 40° so you aren’t that far off.
