My new car has a cd player

It feels so weird. My last 2 new cars 2017 and 2019 didnt have cd players. I thought they were phased out. Do I still have any cds?

Wish my car did. I had to have one installed. I like mix CD’s on road trips. Yeah I know how USB sticks work. That’s not what this is about. A CD has a tactile feel. It’s about flipping through sleeves and pulling a disk out and watching it get pulled into the player, hearing it spin up….it’s a tangible thing.

You talk about it as of it was a record! And record people hated CDs because they were cold and digital. Little did we know music was going to get a lot more digital

Lucky find! I’m still driving my car from 2005 and have a CD player. I don’t want it to die bc I love listening to all my old CDs!

My mom just bought my dad a portable CD player to connect to his new car so he can listen to his polka CDs. Apparently it connects via USB and the controls come up on the screen.

DH dug out his circa early 2000’s cd’s when he got his 21’ gx and DS8 loooooves them.

CDs are coming back b/c teens want the artwork they come with. Thank Taylor Swift for that. My nieces ordered 4 versions of the same CD just to display the artwork.

We have 2017 and 2018 Toyotas with CD players. What I really miss is a cassette deck for the box of tapes on my basement I stubbornly refuse to get rid of! Yes, I am that old, plus we also have a 2003 car that does have one so I occasionally still get to use it.
