My cold is going on 4 weeks long

Anonymous
In two days it will have been 4 weeks. I feel fine but still have post nasal drip and constant need to clear my throat. Took several Covid tests the first week and all were negative. Never had a fever or any severe symptoms. But I’m not fully recovered either. No symptoms on sinus infection.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

The only thing that helped me was a navage. I got it when the post nasal drip started to turn back into a cough

Did you take a PCR C-19 test? That is the "gold standard" per the CDC. If not then take one.

What would it matter now? Knowing that I had Covid 26 days ago?

Yes, this happened to me over the summer. It will stop one day I promise, but yes I had this issue for a few weeks. One day it will just stop, post viral symptoms are funny like that.

Long covid.

Yes, I have the same thing as do several people I know. It's 85% resolved but taking forever for the congestion and cough to clear. I tested negative at least 6 times so not COVID.

Same. Finally got antibiotics but not sure if they are doing much. Still taking Flonase and mucinex. Doing saline rinse. I’m so tired of being sick!

Same here. About four weeks now with lingering cough and minor congestion.

I've had what feels like a cold/low-end flu for over a month. Had a PCR/multiple covid tests. Just an annoying cold. This is everywhere, apparently.

Yes! I got sick the day after Thanksgiving and was very sick for 2.5 weeks. I had a brief respite and then was sick again starting Christmas Eve

That's normal for me OP. The cold usually turns into a mild sinus infection, especially if we have rainy weather and it's not freezing.

Same progression here as well. It’s been tough and not like any cold we (my daughter and I) have had before 😢

Ugh me too! For a brief period I could breathe through my nose during Christmas break but the started back up again and my voice is nearly gone and cough. Symptoms started 12/7.

Have you had your ears checked to make sure they’re not infected? That’s what long duration congestion usually ends in for me.
