Has anyone been able to submit the FAFSA yet?

Every time I've logged in, it is not available

They were required by congress to launch by 12/31/23.
I feel like they launched and had someone on the development team enter their data and then shut it down.

Not me. It hasn't been available when I logon either for the past 2 days.

i tried 200+ times over the last 36 hours. ONCE I was able to click in and started fill out the form. Even clicked to save it when I needed to hop out of it. Now when I log into my ID my dashboard doesn't show that the several sections that I completed were saved. complete failure.

Are you just super bored that you tried 200+ times? You didn’t take the hint after like 10?

Going to wait until next week to start trying. Lots of "planned maintenance" during this first week will make it difficult at best to submit.

As long as you submit by end of the month, it shouldn't matter. Student Aid won't release data to schools until the end of January.

The site was up around 7:30 last night. The soft launch page was gone and we were able to log in and submit our info. I suspect they're trying to avoid the web page crashing like Ticketmaster/Taylor Swift. It's still a cluster and they need to at least fix the formula during this time.

They posted that they were creating a waiting room - but I have not seen this.

I've received the waiting room screen several times. Trying to access live chat with an agent is repeatedly unsuccessful.

Done @ 1:19pm on 1/2/24. We had two laptops up. One was able to access the form. The other still had the "waiting room" screen up. Currently trying to figure out how to transfer the parent info for the second college kid.

My son was able to create his account this morning, sent it to me and his dad, I have been trying off and on all day to complete. I sit in the waiting room, then start creating an account. Have gotten to the Contact Information page/Mailing Address page at least 10 times but after filling in everything and hitting continue at the bottom of the page, it just goes to the top. No error message, no red font indicating something is wrong, nothing. I have even asked both my children to type in the information for me in case I am doing it wrong. Is anyone else stuck on this same page and having this same issue? I do assume that it is part of the kinks being worked out, but it also seems so strange! Just looking for commiseration I guess - or a trick if you got something to work! Thanks!
