I don’t see it at my store. What should I buy as a sub? Or where can I buy it?

Wegmans has Vermont Creamery crème fraiche. I think I also saw it at Whole Foods.

Heavy cream and buttermilk.

It probably depends on the recipe, like if it’s for pastry cream or cooking in a pan or whatever.

When I couldn’t find sour cream overseas, I used crème fraiche, so I imagine they are somewhat interchangable.

Sour cream mixed with a little heavy cream. Creme fraiche has a higher fat content than sour cream.
