Looking for an authentic Greek lemon chicken recipe. Have searched online and found one that looks good on AllRecipes, but my mother insists that it's not the way her family used to make it. Looking for a recipe that uses a whole chicken cut into parts, with skin and bones; lots of lemon & oregano; and served with potatoes in the same lemony sauce.

I don’t know if this is authentic enough (the recipe writer definitely is not Greek) but this chicken has lots of lemon and oregano and it’s really delicious. I haven’t tried it with anything besides thighs, but it seems like you could easily swap in whole chicken parts, throw in some potatoes, and scale up the recipe. I make it regularly and everyone loves it.

See if this recipe fits the bill. I have made other recipes from The Mediterranean Dish and they have all come out well.

Both of these recipes look amazing. Thank you!
I don’t have a recipe for this, but I have had better luck with authentic recipes for various Asian foods by digging a little and finding bloggers who are from that country and also primarily have an audience of those from that country. Have found good Thai and Korean recipes that way, that taste way better than the usual sites I visit.
I have no idea if it is authentic, but the rice in Tin Eats’ “One Pot Greek Chicken and Lemon Rice” is amazing.
