Can adults learn to ski?

Is it possible to learn to ski in your 40's. If so, where is a good place to go for group/private lessons and bunny slopes and green runs?
Anonymous
Yes.

Go to liberty or whitetail.

I did at Liberty in my 40s and still love it!

I highly recommend Bryce. Great first experience and much less crowded than Whitetail.

+2. Great mountain for learning, and they take you in golf carts from parking. Yes, you can learn to ski in your 40s. It’s not like riding a bike though, that you learn it and that’s it, it’s a skill that requires practice and you would get better the more often you get to do it. May be you won’t get good enough for the difficult slopes, but should manage the green and may be blue runs. Really depends on your overall fitness level.

Not OP but I have the same question. I'm afraid of falling!

I tried and was pretty sure I was going to die on the bunny slopes. Not for me!

I tried. I managed to drop the instructor and fall on him. At the beginning of our lesson, he said he could teach anyone to ski. At the end of the lesson he had to admit I was the first one he could not help.

Oh my, I am probably just like you.

Goodness, yes.

You could try Massanutten -- it's close-by.

You just have to accept it that you will fall some.

My ski instructor got in trouble for calling ski patrol to take me down! They are only for emergencies FYI. Two of us in my beginner group ended up taking off our skiis and walking halfway down the mountain.
