Where to get farmer cheese

We are planning on making Armenian/Syrian style string cheese and would like recommendations for where to get farmer cheese or similar cheese base. In NJ you can get it at some Italian or Middle Eastern stores in bulk.

I see that it is sold at Whole Foods in 1 lb packages but would love to hear about other options, esp if quality is good and a bulk buy is an option.

We are going to make a lot of cheese.
