Our go to for 16 years was Fontaines in Old Town Alexandria, but it changed ownership and it’s lost all of its charm. DH also felt the food wasn’t as good. So now we are on the hunt for a new place, preferably in or close to western Fairfax. This year is also DC’s 16th birthday.
We rarely go out much but when we do we like a nice atmosphere and a place we might have a cocktail before / with our meal and a specialty coffee afterwards. Dulce Crepes & La Petite Crepes Amour have been suggested to us but these seem like fast casual places and we are not interested in those, or a diner like Amphora (which we like OK). Ideally, the place serves crepes. Mona Mi Gabi (not sure how to spell it) has also been suggested but I’m not sold on it. Also, not sure if it’s serving brunch for the holiday. I realize the challenge will be finding brunch on a holiday — which also falls on a Monday this year. |
| FYI, Amphora is no longer. |

Entyse Bistro in McLean is likely what you’re looking for, but it’s likely late for reservations (probably the case at any of the good ones).
There are several good ones on this list, although not all will be open on Monday. https://northernvirginiamag.com/food/food-features/2023/04/21/weekend-brunch-northern-virginia/ |
The one in Vienna closed but the bakery and restaurant in Herndon are still open. |
THANK YOU! This is a good list. |
