My son wants to explore apprenticeship. Been working fast food for 15 months. Is not college material. Has anxiety and bipolar which is under control with meds and therapy.
He’s organized, a visual learner. Not a morning person. Any tips welcome! |

| A lot of tradespeople wake up early… |
Wut? At least for City Year, that’s not a requirement. |
Is City Year for children? My son is almost 21. Also, if the website specifically says they are focused for lower income or marginalized students. Maybe I don’t understand the program. |
https://www.cityyear.org/experience/application-process/application-instructions/ Read the demographics section… |
| I’d start with driver’s ed every morning to get him used to getting up early. Then try a trade school for whatever he’s good at. |
OP here. I totally misread this. Thank you. Ate these paid experiences? |

Truck driver? Airports are training, tsa agent? Cooking school or a cosmetology program to become a hair dresser? I know one person who has severe dyslexia and has gotten into film. He posts short videos and has a large following. Montgomery college has programs for film, radio, social media Could something in construction be of interest? |
