Recommend a tour of the Everglades from the Fort Lauderdale area?

My DH has always wanted to do this - online options are a bit overwhelming. Can anyone recommend? We will have a rental car.

Miccasukee reservation has airboats. And alligator wrestling. Definitely an old Florida vibe.

We actually loved the one the park rangers do in the Everglades. It is not on an airboat - it's in a tram, but we saw amazing wildlife and also had the benefit of learning from a park ranger - they narrate the trip. You still need to reserve it ahead of time, through the national parks page.

Agreed, the Shark Valley tram is excellent. https://www.nps.gov/thingstodo/shark-valley-tram-tour.htm

I have heard the tour when you walk in the swampy water is amazing. Don’t recall if it is Everglades or Big Cypress, but it is supposed to be a unique, ranger led experience.

By the way, we enjoyed both parks, but Big Cypress had the more impressive array of birds (the cool Fla species ). And a zillion alligators everywhere. We took the scenic drive , stopping often for photos.,

Big Cypress has the swamp walk. We did it this week, highly recommend.
Loved the airboat tour too, mostly because it was fun to zip around so fast in such an unusual environment.
