Wow. Make clear that bring cool matters zippy and that doing well in school is her or his job right now.
And make sure you walk the walk. Do you prioritize social events over work? Look for tells like that and work on them. |

| Give us more info. Its vacation. Is your kid failing and needs remediation or just not interested in extra studying on a school break. My 13 yo hasn’t thought about school since the last day. |

If they fail, they won’t be able to participate in school sports.
And colleges won’t give athletic scholarships to students who don’t at least come close to their average academic standards. |
