alternative to hard-to-find bourbon

Anonymous
Bourbon is so hard to find the past few years. What are some good alternative liquors to sip on straight or with ice (no mixers)? Not Scotch, I'm well-versed in that.

Curious about tequila, rum, or things I haven't thought of. Specific brands would be helpful - this is for a gift. Thanks!

Aged rims are really good.

It's always great to go local. How about some Pikesville whiskey

There's no shortage of bourbon that I know of. Where did you encounter this? They even make it in Maryland, in Fredrerick.

Irish whiskey

Yellow Spot and Green Spot are nice sippers.

Brandies - look for a VSOP Cognac or an Armagnac. Ideally you'd drink it neat from a snifter.

LAX in Beltsville has an amazing bourbon selection. What are you looking for that you can't find?

Agree about the lack of shortage. My DH loves Woodford Reserve and I wish it were harder to find.
