| I'm 40 and am starting to grow a few hairs on my chin. Is this just fun, getting older, hormonal stuff? I've been plucking them, but feel like they grow back more coarse/stubbly. Should I look into lasering? |
| Yes, lasering helps but it requires some maintenance. |
| If they are white or blond, you can’t laser. I shave them but you could do electrolysis. They suck! |
| It sounds like you don’t have that much hair. In that case, electrolysis is the way to go (low amounts or as the other pp said gray/white). I have a lot of experience with laser and electrolysis on my face and would recommend one of the 5% numbing creams from Amazon. Cut some Saran Wrap into strips and place it over top of the cream. Let the electrolysis remove it and clean up your face before getting started. Don’t worry about looking weird, they’ve all seen this before. I drive around with it on my face. Do that about half an hour before your session. It will help a lot and if you don’t have much hair it should last the duration. Most electrologists will have pricing from 15 minutes to an hour. |
| I have one on my chin. I'm 53, it's been there about 10 years. I just keep plucking it. I hate it. |
|
Any recommendations for electrolysis places? In No. VA, but I would drive to DC./MD
Thanks! |
+1 Glad it's still only one though. The good thing about it growing back stubbly is you always know when it's time to tweeze it again. |
One!! Dang! I probably have 20 and I'm in my 40s. |
Fine or thick? |
Same! I pluck them -- smooth for a couple weeks and then overnight there will be a forest of chin hairs. They are thick and easy to grab with the tweezers. |
| I'm 30 and have at least 5. |
| Wait until your mustache comes in too. |
I'm 30 and have both. Does that mean it will get worse? |
| I'm 46 and only get one very black, very thick chin hair. When do the multiples come? Steeling myself |
| Shave them |
