How many presents do your tweens get?

First year I am feeling like there isn’t enough under tree. Kids are 13 and 11 and gift requests are pricier than toys and books of the past. Kids each have about 6 gifts from us and then additional fee from aunts/grandparents. Just curious

Maybe 4-5? I haven’t counted. One kid is getting an iPad/pen and another is getting a new phone so not cheap. Kids are older teens.

Four to six. We give four. Grandparents give one but sometimes take over one of ours, and siblings give each other one.

Less gifts once they got older because each gift was way more expensive than a fisher price toy

A couple of main gifts - Uggs, Apple Watch, poster for her room that she wants, lots of smaller things and stocking stuffers. Probably too many things to fit into the stocking so they’ll become additional gifts.

We celebrate with family tend to aim for the same number of gifts for each cousin, but as the kids get older, there's a definite shift towards both more practical gifts, and a mix of more expensive things, and super cheap things.

So, for example, a younger child might get 3 toys, all of which seem pretty "big", and an older kid might get the exact pair of ridiculously expensive shoes they want, and then socks, and a favorite candy bar each wrapped separately.

My kids get too many gifts. Not so much from me, but because we have a large family with a gift giving culture.

Usually 4 to 5, mix from families. This year, 7, mostly from us.

Thanks! My 11 year old requested a steam deck and an Apple Watch and a very pricey razor scooter bike. Ummm I can’t get all of those and no way on the watch. He’s getting the bike and some other lower cost things like sweatshirts and a 3D pen and posters.

I don’t go by number of gifts, I try to stay within a budget. I usually spend $500-$600, and it ends up being 10 gifts

Ours isn't the number of gifts so much as the dollar amount. We pick an amount we want to spend on each kid and get the items off their list that work.

DS asked for a PS5, some games, and some shoes (3 or 4 pairs).

DD asked for a bunch of makeup and skincare items, shoes, clothes, a ton of books, and an Apple Watch.

DS is getting a PS5, 2 games, and 1 pair of shoes.

DD is getting an Apple Watch, 2 pairs of shoes, makeup & skincare stuff, 4 books, and a few store gift cards to buy the clothes herself.

Both of their Xmas hauls add up to the same amount within around $15 of each other. They'll also be receiving gifts from their grandparents and other relatives, too.

Probably 10 for my 14 yo.

A ton of books, a few hoodies, new crocs and charms, two $100 gift cards for places he likes, an album, a pillow, a phone case, and a phone power bank.
