MCPS off Jan 2 (Tuesday)

FYI Jan 2 is a Non Instructional day (no school for students and teachers) for those of us trying to make adult plans (doctor appointments etc) for that day.

Because it’s better to tack it onto winter break than take a random day midweek.

Nice for teachers also to be able to make adult plans without taking a day off work. There aren’t subs. Do we really expect them to wait from September until June to see a dentist or have a mole looked at?

It's good to have Jan 2 off to travel home without having to miss school. I'm surprised they aren't doing that next year.
