Any recommendation between Manor Montessori, Goddard Bethesda and Clara Barton? |
Goddard Bethesda has been great for our family. Many of our friends have their kids attending as well. High quality preschool. |
Goddard Bethesda was the worst school I sent my child to. The owner is strange, the admin staff make decisions about your kids without consulting parents (like switching classrooms, etc). Better schools in the area for the same $$. |
Goddard Bethesda is a NAEYC accredited preschool and one of the best preschools in the area and country. All of their teachers are certified, the programming is top notch, and they get children ready for kids to attend public or private schools in the area with success. Just so everyone knows. The owners of a few daycares in the area find Goddard School to be tough competition and continue to falsely admonish them. Their team is some of the most educated and successful in the industry. Simply go tk their website and view the backgrounds of the owner, directors and teachers and compare to your own school. It will be plain to see. |
The owners/admin staff of Goddard Bethesda seem to be the only positive posts about this school. Hiding behind anonymity, They don’t even let parents voice their own opinions. |
We love Clara Barton!! |
We were underwhelmed here. Our DS did not transition well into Kindergarten after leaving Clara Barton. His Kindergarten teacher noted that several of the kids that came from Clara Barton did not have level of reading and math that other kids did. They do have a lot of play time, but Clara didn't get my kid ready for Kindergarten. We decided on another center for our youngest daughter. |
This is complete and utter nonsense, likely written by Goddard Bethesda Admin or Owners. These people are so insecure about their miserable school. Take a tour, the teachers are UNHAPPY at this school. I wouldn’t want my child to be around unhappy teachers. My kid is thriving at Clara Barton, and is completely ready for kindergarten next year. |
Prek is not a requirement for kindergarten |
Clara Barton! It's great - loving community and teachers who have been there for many years. We also considered Manor, but we just love Clara Barton. They spend a lot of time playing outside, focusing on emotional and social development and it just has a tight knit community feel. |
We have heard the same thing in the neighborhood. There was a time when Clara Barton not only provided kids the opportunity to play, but also got them ready for kindergarten. It seems their academics have suffered and it is more play. Nothing wrong with play if you want your child to do that all day, but if you’re looking to have them be comfortable, whether they attend private or public in the area, I would look to another center. Also, having the same teachers there for many years, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good program. Teachers get burned out and do not try to advance in their career with new and updated philosophies and programming the longer they are at a Center. It’s not always the case, but to simply say, the teachers have been there a long time, doesn’t provide a good reason why somebody should attend a preschool to get their child kindergarten ready Just my opinion. |
I'm a parent and I love it at GB. We've had a great experience and i'm sure lots of parents voice their opinions! Willing to give more info! |
Geneva Day School is the best in the area |
