Summer School for Autistic child in N. Virginia?

| Where do parents of autistic children in Northern Virginia send their children for summer school (and school)? Looking for a program that will help with remedial classes. The child is 13 and is currently in Special Ed. classes in Prince William Co. public schools and is behind grade level. I think the schools have failed him, and he has much more potential. Looking for a strong program for kids with learning disabilities, could be in Fairfax Co., Prince William, or Arlington Co. Looks like the Prince William Co. summer program is only 3 weeks long and half a day, so a more intensive program would be great. If you know of summer program out of the area, that would be of interest too. |

You may get more answers if you post on the special needs board rather than the private school one.
Not an academic summer program, but Auburn School works with kids with Autism. Depending on how high functioning DC is that could be a good alternative for school-year school is public is failing him. |
