Are you seeing less diversity in elite college admissions at your school?

I think there is a noticeable shift in the Big3 DC privates and Jackson Reed with regards to top 25 admissions.
Almost everyone (non legacy) who is getting in is Asian, South Asian or white. Mostly Asian and South Asian frankly.
Almost no URM getting top spots so far.

Asians add to diversity.

Not at the top schools they don't. (not-racist--they are quite over-represented already vs. the population-at-large)

It has pretty much always been this way. That's why URMs are.....URMs. Underrepresented. Get it?

Holton has had several URMs getting spots at top schools. Just haven’t posted in instagram

Since Supreme Court wanted kids to talk about race in essays, anyone can make themselves sound disadvantaged now.

Looking at the unofficial Instagram page for accepted students at our school, it is 100% Asian and white, but there may be students who have not posted.

yes, it will interesting for the schools at enrollment time when schools compare what they were expecting to get in terms of racial diversity vs. what they actually picked.
I was looking at Instagram accounts for the kids at one school and came across an Asian girl who was part of the "Black student union."
Totally within her right---but there are clearly ways to game this new system.

Fixating only on race is not a good measure of diversity. There can be lots of diversity elsewhere.

More.

I think it’s easier for some to allude to false race in an essay than to actually check a fakes box.

The only Asian girl in my class at NCS decades ago was in BSU. I seriously doubt she was trying to game admissions. She was, I think, seeking support for being a minority in a mostly white school.

That's what I was going to say. Kid at public magnet, and most Ivy admissions are white/Asian and have been at least as long as I've seen.
