What should I wear for neighborhood Christmas party?

I’m a guy and have a Christmas party tonight and need a suggestion of what to wear.

Do I wear khakis and dress shirt and sport coat? Blue blazer? Tie or no tie? I’m in my 40s.

We have no idea what kind of part it is. Is it at someone's house? At a restaurant? Who's invited?

It’s at someone’s house and there are probably 50 people invited. I’d say age range is middle age 35-55.

If the people aren't stuffy, I'd say lose the blue blazer idea.

Maybe sportcoat with casual oxford and khakis if that goes well together. Or polished sweater with dress pants or khakis.

And nice shoes.

There were people wearing hoodies and sneakers at our private school’s Christmas concert yesterday, so who knows? People seem to be more casual lately.

It sounds casual, so jeans and a clean hoodie will be enough.

I’d recommend you wear your most sexy underwear (and take a viagra for good measure) as I’m sure you’ll be kissing someone under the mistletoe. These types of holiday parties fuel with alcohol, inhibitions drop and often times the panties (if they’re worn) will too!!
