Best activity tracker

My Fitbit Versa 2 appears to be on its last days. I have been loyal to fibit for years and years, but if I am going to replace the tracker for $$, I may as well check to make sure I am buying the "best."

What do you recommend?

There is no best. What are you tracking? That would dictate recommendations

With this list I would focus on ones that have superior sleep tracking. Steps is easy, optical heart rate monitors on the wrist are all very similar (and similarly not that useful for things like swimming and biking), and calorie estimates are never very good.

DCrainmaker did a yearly review of new 2023 activity watches that might be of interest to you. You can find the write up on his website and the video on YouTube. https://youtu.be/vOUKBRquC-k

What’s a good one for running, especially speed?

See above. Most new running watches are excellent at pacing on flat ground. The rainmaker reviews are very comprehensive on that issue, and GPS accuracy.

Garmin's are good for running because the GPS is good and the metrics are above the other watches. Garmin sleep score is a joke. Apple is good as a smartwatch, I wouldn't recommend it for steps/heart rate/ calories. Fitbit is great for the metrics you want. I found the sleep score to be accurate. I've had all three and currently have a Garmin.

I thought buying a fitbit/activity type thing would help me exercise but it didn't.
All I had to do was just get moving, not spending more time planning and making excuses to plan more before actually moving.
So...just get moving.

I’m OP. I do move. A lot. Thanks. Since you don’t have a recommendation for an activity tracker, why don’t you keep moving out of this thread?
