I’m hosting Christmas dinner for 8 and don’t want to cook (I’m an average cook and want a good meal). Do you recommend a restaurant where I can order dinner to pickup and eat at home (heat and serve is fine).
I see Founding Farmers is an option. |
| Not a restaurant, but Balducci’s caterers, great dinners |
| We just attended a Chanukah dinner with food from there and it was really good! I bet their Christmas is wonderful! |
| Ted's Bulletin. They are offering Prime Rib dinners with mashed potatoes and rolls and asparagus. Lots of pickup locations in both DC and NOVA. |

L'Auberge Chez Francois does a really nice carryout for Christmas dinner.
Founding Farmers is so underwhelming as a restaurant - I wouldn't want to rely on that for Christmas dinner. |
| Popeye's |
I heard their turkey for Thanksgiving was really, really good! Id kind of be embarrassed to go but I’m also really curious. |
| Any other options? Northern Virginia or DC? |
| Federalist Pig |
| Wagshals! I never cook for our family of 6. I order in and it is delicious. |
| Many of these are dine-in but there are some listings for take-away: https://dc.eater.com/maps/where-to-order-christmas-dinner-around-dc-1 |
