| I got the flu last Friday. Temp over 102. COVID negative. Cough etc. Fever broke Monday but I ache SO much still. I thought once the fever broke the aches would go away. Suggestions appreciated. I am in between doctors now and don’t see a new doctor until January. |
| Did you actually test positive for the flu? It’s only been a week so this isn’t out of the norm. The flu lasts long. |
| Thanks PP. I did test positive for flu at urgent care. Sorry to be unclear. |
| Long flu. |
| The flu can last for over a week pretty easily; recovery can take weeks. |
| Flu was awful for me…way worse than Covid. Took about a month to feel normal though after 2 weeks felt a lot better. |
| Thanks for the helpful responses. I am 52 and not as in shape as I used to be. I guess this flu just really knocked me on my rear. I too am finding this worse than COVID. |

How are you feeling OP?
Did you have the flu shot? I thought the vaccine usually made the flu a little less severe. My teen is suffering from the flu right now (just did a separate post on it) so I'm seeing it firsthand here too. |
The vax does make it less severe. OP is better in a short amount of time for the flu, which can easily last a full week or more, and has a long recovery time. |
