Savings account for kids?

We would like to set up a savings account for our 10-year-old son. We live in Bethesda, and would prefer a local bank.
He would like to be able to go to the bank himself to deposit money into his savings account. Do you have suggestions for local banks that have kids’ savings accounts? Thanks! |

Perhaps a minor thing to consider, but we found Bank of America kind of a pain when the kid turned 18 and we had to convert the custodial account to an adult account. They made us jump through hoops that SoFi did not for our other kid. The online banks just make life easier and pay much higher interest.
