| DC is interested in IS/MIS but wants the freedom to explore other business options. Haven't visited either but we like the accessibility and distance to Ohio State (driveable in a day) vs. Indiana. Costs are about the same assuming no aid. Any college-specific gotchas would help.. Thanks! |
| My understanding is that IU has an excellent undergraduate business school program. And, I read recently that Mark Cuban went there b/c it was the best value in terms of undergraduate business programs, and he seems to have done quite well! Good luck! |

Direct admit for Kelly? If so, go with the campus your child likes better- both will be an amazing experience.
If your child is not a DA to Kelly, go with Ohio State. |
+1 This is the best path of decision making |
Not DA. GPA is slightly below threshold. |
| Direct Admit is a game changer |
You can petition and see what happens, but if not, just go with Ohio State. What a great problem to have- two amazing programs. Congrats to your child! |

If you can't offer anything intelligent to say, just stop it. It feels like the trolls on this board are actually high schoolers. |
Someone can't show pride for a school without being a high school troll? What a miserable person you must be. |
Thanks! That's the problem. DC doesn't want to write more essays at this point and wants wing it. We prefer OSU (we think they are comparable programs and the much shorter drive/direct flight helps) but DC doesn't know that yet as we want to him to pick. |
Are you an IU grad? If so, tell us about the business school. If not, what have you offered by posting OH-NO? And if you happen to be U of M affiliated (my business school), extra shame on you for dropping in to add zero value. Way to not live up to the motto about leadership. I spent a week at a conference at Indiana Bloomington this summer. Impressed with the campus - it compared favorably to the many state flagships I have visited. School has a great reputation at my Fortune 500 company. They pay for their engineers to get a special online Kelley MBA just for our company. I do not have direct experience with Ohio State academics but am sure it gets the job done. My family member enjoyed living in the Columbus suburbs for 15 years, so no negativity about the location. She was also U of M and worked at a job with mostly Ohio State grads. Now....who has some more relevant info about the business programs? People have life decisions to make.... |
| Kelley much higher ranked than OSU-but agree that if not DA, much harder to get in. Very few make it as Freshman. |

Lighten up Francis. It’s all in fun. |
