Can you bring a culture of yogurt home from Europe successfully, how?

Anonymous
I tried this yogurt in Barcelona called Pastoret. It is the best yogurt I’ve ever tasted. From what I can tell, I cannot get it in the states. Is there a way to bring home a culture to make my own next time I am in Barcelona?

Bring a can of yoghurt with you? Check if yogurt is an allowed food on the department of agriculture website.

Above is correct. If it’s allowed, it will travel just fine in a checked bag.

While on your trip, smear yogurt onto a sheet of parchment paper and let try thoroughly. Then ziplock it and place in checked luggage.

Bring it as a carry-on food item, tell them it's your plane snack. This is what my aunt does with food items.
