How many samples in 2 pages?

How many samples are you fitting into the 2 pages allowed in the parent referrals? We have three.

I thought parents could only submit 2 samples.

Our AART said to make it readable. She didn't specifically say it had to be 2 pages. Neither does the FCPS website, which states:

up to two pages of student work samples

Our AART reviews files and gives feedback - nothing too specific but still very helpful. Does yours? If so, ask if it's readable.

I know it's confusing, but I will give it a try.

You can only submit two pages of work sample.

However, each page of work sample could contain two pages of work, such as solutions to two math questions, one question each page. Or a page of writing samples including two pages of writing, shrink to fit on one page.

I hope this clears it up.

We are Mclean pyramid school and doing 4 samples per page and it's all readable. Did the same for my other son a couple of years back.

Same. Three on one page and four on the other. My daughter writes music so 1 page includes some of her pieces.

Our AART said one sample per page. Smh. I think that’s wrong but whatever.

We are doing one sample. Our school sends nothing home and our child, although smart, is not doing math problems for fun. Please.

OMG, so many liars here.

It would be neat if they would allow some form of multimedia. My kid *does* do math for fun, but it's all apps and online games and there's no good way to turn that into a "work sample"

LOL! What? What are they lying about? How many samples they can fit on a page? Why would they lie about fitting four samples vs two?

You could take a screenshot and put it on a page to support your write up if that helps.

Sure there is. Have your kid write out the kinds of questions they answer, if answering those questions amounts to more than worksheets (remember, just a worksheet with no problem solving steps is not considered a good work sample). Or just have your kid take today and tomorrow answering an NRICH question for fun instead of doing an online game.
