I am planning on a funeral for my mom. Does anyone recommend an affordable funeral home and/or cemetary?
I live in Greenbelt so looking for something in the area. Thanks! |

Look in Washington Consumer Checkbook for advice for funeral homes. There is a wide variance in costs and they like to try to get you to add services. I just repaying “we want the cheapest cremation, urn (none), service at funeral home (none). A lot depends on what you want to do. My mother’s church (in the Midwest) had a memorial garden where you could spread the ashes. No cemetery needed. A lot depends on what you want/need. I am sorry about your loss. It’s a hard time to grieve and plan at the same time.
