$2.3 million from Montgomery County general fund will go to migrant respite care

I feel like this money could have been used to cover some other pressing county needs. How do these types decisions get made without public knowledge. I vote republican because I feel like the migrant crisis has gotten out of control and is very inhumane. Throwing money at the problem will not fix it. Yet these tax payer dollars can fix lack of teachers, potholes, etc.

Your R is a waste in liberal MoCo. Switch to D and vote for the most moderate D in the primaries.

You're linking to a news article that details how the council introduced a proposal, held a public hearing, and then will vote (today). How does that qualify as without public knowledge?

Well, our taxes are going to certainly go up to replenish the general fund. Maryland, in particular Montgomery county are sanctuary areas. We are slowly becoming Langley Park.
