| Yes, but it’s not quick. My tween DD has a mega-colon (which is essentially what your picture shows), and we’ve been told it would shrink back after 12-18 months of regular laxative use, with the goal of at least one BM per day. My DD is quite resistant to meds so she’s not going daily, so the colon remains stretched out. |
What is mega colon? And Wow it takes that long? Does a regular x-ray show this? How do they check? |

Is is still like that? How old are they now? Maybe they are still suffering from constipation keeping it larger like that? |
