Whooping Cough Information

There is already an outbreak in England and Wales: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/society/2023/dec/09/what-is-whooping-cough-and-why-are-cases-rising-in-england-and-wales

My DD had it a few years ago. It was absolutely awful and took ages to get diagnosed correctly. We finally found https://whoopingcough.net/ which has a page for giving information to your doctor.

While a bit old fashioned, the website is run by Dr Douglas Jenkinson, the world authority on whooping cough. I highly recommend if you or someone you know is looking for a diagnosis for a 100 day cough.

(Note: I have no idea who he is. But he seems legit and his website was by far the most helpful resource we found. There is no charge.)

Had it this summer. Had the telltale signs of coughing so hard I vomited several times, and a gasping cough. This is a great reminder to make sure you and your family is up to date on vaccines, especially if you are around pregnant people, babies, and toddlers. And if you are pregnant now, be vigilant about having future caregivers and family to get their tdap shot.

Yup, making sure of that.

The real tell tale sign is being okay in between coughing episodes.
