Odyssey v Sienna

Which do you prefer?

Sienna comes in hybrid, so I'm considering switching. I've had 2 Odysseys. There is a lightly used Odyssey near me for sale so I'm debating whether the hybrid is worth it or not.

Odysseys are way less expensive right now. The markups on Sienna are so absurd I can’t even believe it.

We've ruled out the Odyssey due to lack of hybrid option. Seems very behind the times, though that doesn't mean it's not quality for an all gas vehicle.

We also are looking at the Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in hybrid, but Consumer Reports reliability rating was concerning. Which is unfortunate as it would be eligible for the tax credit and we like the features overall.

Forgot to add, Consumer Reports recommended the Kia Carnival over the Pacifica, but again, like the Odyssey, disappointingly there's no hybrid option.

We bought a Sienna a few months ago; because the markups on new ones were huge (like $5-$7k above MSRP), we ended up getting a slightly used one. But there were dealers that will sell you one at or close to MSRP if you are willing to wait 6 months or so. If you are in no rush, get on the list. You might have to call around to find a dealer that will offer that.

I can have every available option on the Odyssey for about the price of the mid trim XLE Sienna. Hard pass on Sienna. It seems like a nice car but I just can’t believe people are paying it.

It’s the ICE - I keep cars a long time, so I am not interested in driving one for the next 10-12 years.

It’s not like Sienna is fully electric.
