And what brands aren’t going to fall apart after one trip. Need a few, so not looking to spend too much. |
Nordstrom Rack or any other retailer -Travel Pro brand. |
Costco has a set on sale right now. Delsey brand. I have a carry on from the brand and like it, it’s very lightweight.
Otherwise there’s always a ton at TJ maxx or similar. I think Quince now has knockoff lightweight luggage too, no clue about quality. |
Thanks! And what size? Softcover? Need them for a 12 day trip but have a 40 lb restriction for the airline’s checked bag.
Thank you, Travel folks! |

I usually get samsonite suitcases for TJ Max or Marshall’s. |
I was actually surprised how Bloomingdales had some very well priced recently... |
40lbs is not a lot.
Look at the dimensions limits for your specific airline. Soft sided; small but expandable is a good idea. Some airlines have weight limits up to 50lbs, so you may want extra space for later trips. |
Delsey is crap, don't buy it. It will fall apart. |
TravelPro or American Tourist are the two best brands. You can buy them at any department store or online somewhere like Amazon. |
That's standard, PP. |
Marshalls and TJMaxx always have tons |
If you are looking for a good value on name brands like Samsonite or Travelpro, I have found that Luggagebase.com has a great selection of luggage at competitive prices. |
Target always has some good ones too. |
