Flying Kick Fitness Center Summer Camp (Tae Kwon Do)

Anonymous
We are going through that dreaded annual ritual -- mapping out the summer camp schedules for the kids.

Could any family who has had direct experience with the Flying Kick camp (run by the Flying Kick Fitness Center in Bethesda) share their thoughts and impressions?

Thank you.

hi,
i don't have direct experience but would love to hear the replies also. our son really enjoys the tae kwon do classes in bethesda & i've heard great things about the camp they do at concord hill (but indirectly/third hand so i don't have any good friend to hear the full details - i'd love to hear more about it - how much tae kwon do is it, etc)
thanks for asking - hope someone w. first hand exp will reply!

My son went last summer and is back again this summer. He LOVED it last summer because it is very boyish with teenage black belts acting as the "counselors" (in addition to the regular Masters that run the studio). I find the camp and studio to be an incredibly supportive place while still letting boys be boys (there are girls, too, but tomboyish and into TKD). Very classic camp-like -- dodge ball, swimming, card and board games, squirt guns, etc. It has been nothing short of fantastic for our family.

Hi, quick question: It is my understanding that Concord Hill School doesn't have a pool so how could they have swimming--or is there another Flying Kick camp location that has a pool where they go swimming? I ask because our son would love to do TKD camp but we also want him to get some swimming in, so it would be great if there is a place for both. Thanks.

Could someone who has done this camp please let us know what the schedule is approximately like--how much Tae Kwon Do vs. other activities? Thanks!
