Recs for a French Press

Help I need to buy one for someone who’s a FP newbie - so many to choose from. I read glass is best, yet many aren’t glass.

I’d love some suggestions of what to buy. Is there a particular size too? This is household of one coffee drinker

I’ve accidentally broken two glass carafes while washing dishes. After the last, we went with stainless steel.

Planetary Designs thermos French Press.

A thermos French press will keep your coffee hot for a few hours. For someone who is drinking a pot solo, that's a huge plus.

Frieling insulated stainless steel. Ours is 12 years old and still looks brand new. We use it 5 mornings a week (espresso and lattes on the weekends.)

Same. After breaking the second one, I got a Frieling stainless steel one. It's beautiful and works great.

Same here, too. One too many broken glass carafes later, I got the Frieling insulated stainless steel. Keeps my coffee hot for hours.
