If you’re only going to Spain once…

What would your itinerary be and what would you skip (and why)? Thanks!

What time of year? I hate the heat so the answer depends on that.

If I knew this would be the only trip in my life to Spain, then I'd go for Seville and Granada, with a day trip to Cordoba.

-1 Barcelona is no where near the other group of locations mentioned and not a feasible add on for a 7-8 day trip. People tend to love or hate it, but it’s definitely not where you should go if you’re looking for “quintessential Spain.”

FYI Spain has great high speed rail and cheap internal flights which can give you a lot of flexibility in where you fly in/out of.

If you love art, Madrid has the best museums.
