negative blood test at 14 DPO means I'm really, truly not pregnant (yet again), right?

Ugh. Not that I expect anything more at this point (getting sort of dejected), but it'd be pretty hard to have a false negative at 14 DPO, right?

I would expect there to be at least a very faint line at 14 dpo. It's probably worth re-testing in a couple of days if AF doesn't show up. You never know...

Sorry, I know it is very discouraging. : (

OP here: I'm on progesterone, and my period won't start unless I stop taking it, so I had the blood test "to be sure" before I stop the progesterone. Guessing I might as well stop as it's really unlikely the blood test is wrong at this point (right?).

The blood test is right. If you know when you ovulated and it really is 14 days after O, you are not pregnant. It is time to stop taking the progesterone.

And, I'm really sorry. I know how awful those day 14 calls are cycle after cycle.

Yep, I think that's right. On the bright side, I went out and got a latte from Starbucks and will enjoy a margarita tonight. My reward, cycle after cycle, for not being pregnant.... After the letdown of the "yes, your test came back, and it's negative," I think about how lucky I am to have a beautiful, wonderful 2.5 year old DD and remember a lot of people out there have it a lot harder than I do. So here's knocking on wood for everyone out there trying to get pregnant! I really hope everyone's baby finds them sometime soon!

That's right PP - look on the bright side - at least you already have a child. Think of those who have been trying for at least 3-5 years, no child and who knows whether there will be one. Every month I try to find things to be happy about. Running out of ideas though.
