Is there a vote of no confidence we can use to get rid of our terrible mayor?

He is AWFUL
i walk to school now and completely insane homeless people spit at and yell at and hound me and my children. What is he even doing? Like - I could better and i have zero mayoral experience.

Yes, it's called "next election".

Isn't the mayor a "she?" how informed are you, really?

A vote of no confidence is something done by a deliberative body like a legislature, not by the people (sometimes there are non-binding votes of no confidence by groups like teacher's unions as well). A recall vote would be what you're think of, but those don't exist in New York. The governor could remove him (subject to a process I've never actually researched), but that seems pretty unlikely right now.

urgh - even with the weird turkey thing?
he's possibly even more pointless than de blasio which is crazy bc de blasio was as effective mayorally as a piece of old fish.

Often wrong, never in doubt. Classic.

Sorry OP, I thought he was the worst of a decent lot, thankfully he won’t get re-elected. His approval rating is at 28% — the lowest ever recorded for a NYC mayor.

The weird Turkey thing has a good chance of getting him indicted. Whether he’ll resign after that - I’m not sure. There’s a thread on that here: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1165639.page

My children and me.

Word is that Adams' team is very inexperienced, which is weird given that he was Brooklyn Borough President.

That said, both the homeless and migrant situation (and the lingering effects of Covid) are not his fault. As long as cities continue to be seen as acceptable for open air insane asylums, as long as the GOP keeps cutting taxes/milking the migrant issue while not actually doing anything about it, we'll still have these problems. And Covid happened on Trump's watch.

Both are grammatically correct.

I can’t stand Adams. He’s a complete grandstander and just wants to party with the rich and famous and line his pockets, not actually run the city. We would be so much better off with Kathryn Garcia.
