Inexperienced Student - Microwave question

I have a can of hard pressed cider - this one: https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/henry-hotspurs-hard-pressed-for-cider-175114

I want to pour it into a mug and microwave it - is that safe or recommended? And is 30 seconds enough or 1 minute better?

Yes it’s fine. I would do a minute.

I usually wrap a big paper towel around something like that in case it spits up into the microwave.

A concern with heating liquids in the microwave is superheating, but that can be avoided: https://www.wikihow.com/Boil-Water-in-the-Microwave

(Heat in short spurts, etc.)
